Why Did I Faint?
Fainting means you blacked out for a few seconds and fell down. Your body needed more blood to your brain, so it made you lie down!
Here are some reasons why it might happen:
You might faint if:
You stood up too fast
You didn’t drink enough water
You skipped a meal
You felt scared or nervous
You got too hot or tired
When to Tell a Grown-Up?
Tell an adult if you:
Faint more than once
Feel dizzy or weak a lot
Have a fast or weird heartbeat
Faint while running or playing
If it ever happens again, don’t worry—grown-ups will help you!
How to stay safe?
Drink lots of water
Eat snacks and meals
Stand up slowly
Take deep breaths if feeling dizzy
Tell someone if you don’t feel well
Your heart and brain talk to each other all the time to keep you standing—sometimes they just need a little extra help!
